Took Mrs. File Skiing yesterday for her belated birthday.
Started by taking Foster File to day care then out to Wheat Montana.
7 grain cereal.... very hearty and healthy...
then to Lake McDonald.... we'd been trying to go skiing since her birthday in Feb. but the MARLS conference was during the week and she had an event for the week end- then the cold snap hit and we weren't going in-25 below windchill.
this trip was pretty crappy conditions, but we had a fun time together...
Just a ways down the trail, we crossed this set that was following a set of deer tracks. They were distinct on the way out and I never thought to get a picture.
on the way back I was only able to get these after they'd been crossed...
I have heard the Wheat Montana delis are good. I have an uncle that lives in Three Forks. Next time I get over to visit I will have to try for myself.
At first I thought you meant Mrs. File was a cougar. That's not something to broadcast willynilly.:'(
At least they weren't following your tracks!:-)
On some remote projects quite often I've seen cat tracks following my tracks in....It is an eerie feeling but quite common in Western Colorado Book Cliffs area.
Pablo B-)
The cats just thought you were a funny looking elk! 🙂
I posted the pics on Facebook- Youngest File's comment was, "Toughen up, all I see is tracks."
Man, that must be freaky. Knowing that the cat was probably watching you the entire time, and you had no idea it was out there. YIKES! 😀
Don't worry. You don't have to outrun the cougar. You only have to outrun the Mrs.
