Hello? Hello?
Still working in Oz in the outback desert - nearly 5 years now - not so much the Irishman now except the passport and the driving license.
I'm coming to America! (but not today!). Early June land in San Franciso for a couple of weeks of just touring around between there and Seattle sorta/maybe. No real plans to be honest.
Would be good to catch up with some of the old names etc.
Cheers.
Howdy Paul
Welcome back
Right on! Welcome old friend.
Paul? It's good to see you back!
N
Well, it's about time you got aboard!
Give us some stories from what's been happening during your time Down Under.
We had a new arrival from Ireland within the past week or two. Look back in the category: Introduce Yourself. He was from near Shannon.
Sadly, several of the "old" names from the West Coast have expired, ran off or got tossed off. Still plenty around, though, to entertain you when you get there.
Well, @#$% (hey, can we swear on this one?) been a busy time what with summer temps over 50C, snakes, cyclones, deadlines, FIFO (fly in fly out) lifestyle, moving to Perth with the whole family couple of years ago, working with lots of weird American dudes the last couple of years on a Chevron gas plant job, yadda yadda yadda. On the whole quite good but comms are an issue quite often, some of the camps are rough but this one is probably the best I've been in.
I'll expand on this as time goes on.....
COOL!! is automatically blanked out @#$%, I wonder if @#$% gets blocked too?
******? ****? Bollocks? mother@#$%er? hahahaha, this is funny as you mad @#$%s

Not surveyors anyway. It's Kiewit - some of you may have heard of them? Their new Australian division. Also another mob called Bechtel, but maybe no-ones heard of them either......

Oh, yes. We've heard of them.
I recall a Paul the Irishman that posted great pictures of surveying on the Emerald Isle. Hopefully this one has a few of the outback to post.
My daughter lives in "The City" in Cow Hollow. Let me know when you are there, she knows some great hole in the wall places, we'll get together if you would like to.
Welcome back Paul. I was recently wondering about why we haven't heard from you in so long. Working with wierd Americans? Story of my life 😉
