I am always interested to hear about things people collect and why.
What kind of collections have you acquired?
Pint glasses... because I like to drink beer.
Funny thing that I have discovered though... When I drink beer at home, I drink out of plastic... you know... like you get at a college football game.
I also semi-collect plastic cups purchased at sporting events, concerts, etc.

Double edged razors; my wife and I will go all around the antique stores and that's what I keep an eye out for. I also use them though at least it has some purpose.
Antique surveying stuff, surveying books, stamps.
I have an overly large collection of Lilliput Lane cottages. Got hooked on them on one trip to Germany and just forgot when to stop.
I also collect old military pocket compasses. Have them from WWI through WWII, all the different makers.
Then there's the navel lint collection, but I don't need to go into that here.:-$
Caps, the kind you wear.
Books.
Ammo
If anyone has any they don't need, feel free to send it this way. 🙂
Arts & Crafts era pottery & sculpture
Pre 1960's books (primarily british) on upland hunting and fly fishing.
You might specify the delivery method you are willing to accept. 😉
Empty boxes. Never know what some pack rat will give me to sell for them.
From the subject line, I thought you were talking about accounts past due.
I collect can and bottle openers, mostly the old fashion types with a can opener on one end and a bottle opener on the other.
Affordable, small so not much space is required, and a seemingly endless supply. I almost always find some at any garage or house sale.
Chess sets.
It started when my grandfather gave me his set (after I finally beat him!) that his grandfather had given him. Now I have about 10 or so. 3 regular playing ones, and one from Japan that my did bought when stationed there in the 50's. It's ivory..
Then there are the minitures, and one magnetic..
collections
Multiple pens and mechanical pencils.
I used to collect menus. No reason really other than I wanted them.
I collect, somewhat, lots of things. Shed antlers from the field, bailing wire, et cetera. Nothing I'm hardcore into. I collect guns and ammo at this point. 😉
Junk. Or so says my wife. Meanwhile she has many thousands of dollars worth of Precious Moments miniatures.
I'm more into collecting information than things.
Geodetic instruments & books, target pistols, ex-wives, & grandchildren
Coins & some currency and stamps. There are some rather high-dollar valued ones in all 3 of those. I haven't been active in any of that in decades though.
I have a couple of boxes of ball-caps.
Got a bunch of shot-glasses. I used to pick one up during my travels back when I traveled a lot.
I have all the crew mission patches from the shuttle Challenger.
There is a small jar of bullets and shot-gun shells. Some fired and some not.
There is a box of odd-ball junk I've found while surveying. I'll freely admit, that stuff really is junk but I found it interesting. That would include that large glob of melted aluminum where a car burned to the ground on the side of the interstate we were surveying along one day.
I don't really actively collect anything anymore. If something comes along I'll just throw it in with the rest.
Just a bunch of old stuff that I gathered up over a life time. Panicked this morning when putting my pen and mechical pencel in my pocket. The pencel is a Pentel 3 that I bought in 1974 while going to school. The 'screw on tip' was missing, it holds it all together and supports the lead, oh where could it be? Found it in the pocket of yesterdays shirt after turning the pocket wrong side out, life is good.
