What are the best cell phone options for being able to sync Outlook (E-mail, Contacts, Calendar & Tasks) and also OneNote? I would assume a Windows Smart Phone but I think I read that you can't use them to tether to a laptop and I am trying to avoid having to pay a monthly amount for "HotSpot" capabilities for the few times a year I am out of town and will want to get on-line with my laptop. Any suggestions?

Most of the smartphones (Droids, iPhones, Windows,Blackberries) will sync just fine with outlook. Uses corporatesync or something like that.

Then it just uses the internet to sync up, using your phone.

No WiFi hotspot needed.

I have a Droid X in my left pocket and an iPhone in my right...both work great.

I've got an HTC TouchPro 2 with WinMobile on it. Works fine with Outlook (both syncing and on its own using POP3 email accounts) and as a hotspot.

Liz,

You are looking for an Iphone on Verizon only(the mobile phone hotspot)and using Imap for e-mail instead of pop3.

Look into it, i believe this will solve your issues directly, it has for me.
