I have had many emails from Funeral Homes lately. It seems that my "Friends" are dying off right and left!:excruciating: At this rate I will be the only one alive by the end of next week.;-)
I hope they all Rest in Peace!
comes with the territory..
I actually keep a suit and tie in serviceable condition nowadays, just in case I missed an obit in the Sunday paper.
On a side note, I am getting a little tired of listening to either Willy Nelson's "Blue Skies" or Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky" at all these guys' funerals.
Money Penny has strict instructions to exclude both of those songs at my wake. My preference is Last Train Home by Pat Metheny. Good music to whimper with.
We have lost 10 from our high school class of 104 since May of 1995.
I must clarify
All of these email have been SPAM. Trying to get me to respond. They all say "your friend" just passed away. No name, no address for the funeral home, just "for more information click HERE".
Like I am going to blindly "click" their trap!
Although, I must say that many are passing. It comes with age.
I've been to a relatives funeral half the months of last year and one of this one. Six of the eight were husband and wife.
They were all over 80 and was not a big surprise. Everyone of them will be missed.
Have already claimed my family's plot and am working on a loop of Willie Nelson's instrumental song Bandera for background music for my service, may that be long away.
At the 40th year HS reunion two had passed and there were two that have not been heard of since graduation. Those two were said to have headed to California together immediately after walking off the stage.
I must clarify
Death, Taxes and someone WILL try to hack your computer....:snarky:

We lost 4 of 29 but our class is 24 years older than yours.
1 to a car wreck, 1 murdered and 2 to disease. The last one was about the time you graduated. I know of one who should not have survived HS. But I was feeling generous that day. Last I heard he is still among the living.

I think old George's Come Back song would do. "He stopped Loving Her Today".
