What were you doing about 7:03 AM this morning? I was trying to keep four dogs from going crazy 'cause the house was moving.
You guys feel it up there?
I will put it this way. Mrs. Cow felt the Earth move this morning. I slept through the whole event.
The alarm was not set so I was sound asleep at that time. A phone call awoke me about 7:30. Then Mrs. Cow asked if I had felt the house shake earlier.
Went to a charity breakfast sponsored by a local American Legion where nearly everyone there was talking about what they had observed at 7:03. One news report claimed people in Des Moines and St. Louis reported feeling something. Someone on Facebook had a picture of a rip in a paved street in a wide spot in the road kind of town about 15 miles east of Topeka.
How were things in your backyard?
Apparently a 5.6 quake centered near Pawnee, Ok Approximately 125-130 miles from the Cow Estate and about 85-90 miles from the Cash Castle.
Must be some kinda Karma....
I remember someone saying: We might have tornadoes, but at least you can see those suckers(from your roof)! Them damn earthquakes can hit you out of nowhere!

No damage. Some folks south of us had some sheetrock cracks and some loose bricks hitting the ground. I had been up and laid back down...but not for long. The house shook and the dogs went nuts. Nothing else.
Edit above added approx. distance from epicenter for the two of us. The view on GoogleEarth shows the little red dots indicating earthquake epicenters and magnitude. There are about a dozen shown within a few miles of where today's earthquake started. As a well-known country comedian would say, "Here's your sign!"
Earthquakes Today indicates a few 3.X followups since the big one.
There are one heck of a lot of little earthquakes going on all the time. We think of ourselves as not being anywhere near earthquake country around here, but that has changed dramatically in the past few years. earthquaketrack.com/recent lists 76 earthquakes somewhere in the world in the past 13-1/2 hours since the big one in Oklahoma.
Pratt contingent reports that they felt it big time .
