Lemmy Kilmister passed away a day or two ago. I was never a Motorhead fan, but there may be a few still out there, somewhere.
Kudos to Lemmy for never putting down the two-fisted drinking and drugging that made him a heavy metal rock star icon. He should get some kind of award for being one of the longest living substance abuser rock and roller, maybe we should create a "Keith Richards Award".
Congrats, Lemmy. You finally succeeded in something you've been working at for a long time.....
Had not heard. Was on a YouTube jaunt down the Moțrhead wormhole just a week or so ago.
Not the over-heavy metal of today's world and more punked out than 70s/ 80s hard rock. I like it.
Try the "Ace of Spades" for a start.
RIP
Glad I never looked like that ....................
I was saddened by this news as well. At least I got to see Motorhead live once in 2003. I saw Dio at that same concert (and he's dead, too).
I wasn't a huge Motorhead fan, but those guys really did help foster a lot of the punk music that I listen to.
