Well, at least there's only 30 million Americans without jobs...
At our hospital there are fears of it having to close and lay-off almost everyone. They pushed most of the doctors into the complex out of their offices scattered around town over the last few years.
Then when the C19 broke out they took over the office space and put hospital beds in.
You can only see the doctors in an emergency otherwise appointments are zoom or phone calls.
Problem is there are no COVID cases, the 4 they had for a bit are long gone, healed I guess.
No elective procedures are being done, no screenings. Nurses are laid off, hospital is a ghost town. There hasn't been a death in quite a while in the entire state.
It's been a huge fizzle.
Health care workers locally are being layed off by the hundreds, maybe thousands, because all non-emergency non-Covid related services have been suspended.?ÿ
Further - lockdown isn't so locked down. There is still plenty enough people out and about doing "essential" things, like going to the grocery store, Home Depot, even the marijuana dispensary to spread the disease.
Yeah, same here, no cases, everyone crowded into the grocery stores, lumber yards, gas stations. Restaurants closed, churches closed, strange world now. Car lines at Wendy's, Mcdonalds, Taco Johns longer than ever.
Want to hear a COVID-19 joke?
