Needs to scan and print up to 18x24.

I am the County Surveyor and we are looking to purchase one of these.

Of course funds are limited.

What will I expect to pay and where do I start looking?

Thanks,

I purchased a Canon IPF680 last year which has a 24 inch roll feed and couldn't be happier with it. It was about $2000 plus about $350 for five 300ml ink cartridges. That's about a third of what I paid 25 years ago for an HP Draftmaster pen plotter I now use a a shelf.

Does your Canon scan?
A large format scanner/printer at an affordable price is a tough nut to crack.

Sorry, no scanner on mine. Some of those Canon models do have them though.

Here's a refurbished Canon iPF750 for under $3,500

We have a Canon iPF825 that no one complains about...so it must work fine

We have a Canon iPF750. It is fine for light duty. A hundred prints is an all day affair. Less hassle to send that size job out.

I would take a look at the new L-Series MFP Printer/Scanner Combinations from Canon.
