Just picked up a bike for the kids to get their licences.

I'll sort the gearing and make some pannier racks and she'll be good for anywhere in NZ.

Loaner bike of choice.

Sweet 🙂

What is it? From the pic, maybe a Suzuki 250?

I don't know Nate kinda looks like a chartreuse adirondack chair(s) Ninja model 900s. They are not too fast but are good in the patio area. 😉

Definitely looks like "Zooky" yellow, but those big long black fork gators look like a Yamaha to me. No telling what it is, my data base is small when it comes to newer scooters.

What we'd call a Suzuki DRZ250s or 400s in the States?

It used to be easy back when Honda's were red, Yamaha's were blue, Suzuki's were yellow, and Kawasaki's were green... Now you can get most anything in most any color.

It is geared a little low - needs a larger front sprocket.

It also needs a racks for luggage (saddlebags to you maybe?) which I will have to make

DR-Z250 in this case - the ultimate go anywhere do anything (slowly) bike

Pannier racks is what got me. I enjoy looking at racks, but not the kind that might be permanently affixed to a two-wheeled transportation device. Pannier is an adjective I've not seen before.

Pannier's a common term for bike and bicycle side racks/bags. 250 4 stroke hybrid is a decent bike for a variety of terrain.
