I know I have done this in the past but I never heard back from anybody and that might be a sign. I did leave kind of out there though as some of you might recall. sorry for that. But I'm baaaack! And ready to bug you guys again.

Anyway who would be willing to read a fantasy book I wrote? I have it partially professionally edited and plan to get the rest of it edited as money permits. It's a complete book about 400 pages. Okay I lied it's 555 pages. Working title is 'Timothy Tauler and the Land of Dafeea.'

I have another book I wrote but it's pretty disgusting so if you like disgusting this is the book for you. The second book is in it's first draft and has a lot of work to be done to it. It's about 180 pages right now but will have more details so it will grow. Working title is FATE. It has a surveyor in it.

I have a third that is about a 1/4 finished. It's a happy go lucky romance. ick. But I enjoy writing such drivel. Working title is ' A Man For Christmas.'

Anyway I am looking for readers. If you don't like it just tell me. This is the only place I visit so you have to be my audience.

Let me know and I will email it to you any or all. If you don't like it say so. That is my main goal here. To write a book with originality that people will like.

If you want the disgusting book be warned it is not for kids and quite graphic towards the middle.

Anyone that has already read Timothy Tauler. Please let me know what you thought even if it's not good. I want harsh criticism to make it better if I can muster the skills to do so.

When I run out of work I write and bug people to read what I wrote. Since I'm pretty much out of work the time has come to find readers.

I'd...like to volunteer, but I have no idea how long I might take. Besides just trying to read fiction (with 2 toddler/pre-k boys), I'm about to start a project of copyediting a scanned manuscript that's also 500+ pages. That's going to take priority right now.

I could definitely read 10-20% and by that point be able to tell you whether I'm willing to go on or not. Is the fantasy novel also for kids/young adults? The title implies that to me.

Not interested in the 'disgusting' book, but I wouldn't mind reading the kids short story.

Probably not the way you're thinking! I did do Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreaders before I had the kids*. This editing project is that I've given up waiting for an ebook of Zenna Henderson's The People stories. I destroyed a book that collects all of them (cut out the pages), a friend's going to scan and OCR them for me. Then it'll be up to me to copyedit them for "scannos", page numbers, all that other stuff not needed in an ebook.

* Project Gutenberg makes out of copyright books available as ebooks. Distributed Proofreaders is a complicated workflow of converting the books into ebooks. Someone scans and OCRs them, then multiple people check each page for errors against the original scans. It works well, and some of the books are quite interesting. I just wish I had more time to get back to it. Oh well, maybe in 10 or 20 years.

I read that a few years ago when you shared it. I take it, that it has been edited since then?

yeah edited and added to. It's not 100% edited yet but getting there. I've self edited it and had some professionally edited. It's in it's final edit form right now.

Do you remember if you cared for the story/writing or not?

I thought it was good, and I still remember it. I read the whole thing and it kept my interest but I'm not a real technical critic. It seemed that Don Blameuser had more technical review of it, as a more avid reader than I am. It wasn't really my genre of books to read, but it did take you into a real fantasy world. I think this is the sort of work that would appeal to a younger audience. It's obvious you have an extremely creative mind.

550 pages might be a little large. I don't know if you could break it up into a two-part story if it has a good place to break. Anyway, it appears as though you enjoy writing. Keep it up (is my only wise advice).

It can be divided into two books about halfway through. I've thought about doing that since it is getting so big.
