I have to swamp out my personal laptop- I seem to remember cc cleaner was a tool folks used to recommend. Is it still good? Is there something better ?
I still use it. Seems to do a good job of catching potential threats.
Avast bought it a couple years ago and in true Avast fashion, began to ruin it. Personally, I've moved to Glary Utilities and am loving it.
Thank you, I have been a little disappointed lately with my CC cleaner. ?ÿThat mysterious 20GB ghost keeps filling up my C: drive and CC Cleaner is no longer helping, it seems...?
For me getting rid of old Windows installs frees up a bunch of space.?ÿ I do a full backup first.?ÿ It is in the system cleanup tools, have to drill down into advanced I think.
Also allowing Windows 10 to compress the hard drive saved about 20GB.
It is frustrating that my C drive bounces around randomly from 0 to 30 GB free space with no real reaction to any efforts on my part with these helpful cleaning software...
