For all us posters in Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, keep an eye to the sky and be safe. The local stations are wall to wall weather coverage.

The first round of the weather just moved out of my area, and we made it through, but they are saying that it won't be done until around 3 or 4 in the morning.

They are saying we could have about 8 to 10 inches between Monday morning and and tomorrow night.

The storms are coming in waves about every 6 to 8 hours. They just said that one area in Memphis received 6 inches between 6:15 P.M. and 8:20 P.M.

Oh yea, already had the family and pets in the hallway once. First wave passed, and I went out and checked the tarps covering the roof damage from last week's storms. So far, no additional damage.

Wave two is about an hour or so out, heading our way.

Jimmy

Y'all stay safe. They're calling for the front(s) to start hitting here early Wednesday morning.

be Safe.

That kind of weather is just normal spring weather around here. We used to spend at least 3 nights a month in the storm cellar and several more just watching the skies and listening to the weather on TV or the radio.

The first wave

kinda fizzled out before it got here, BUT there is a STRONG front moving east through Alabama now. It looks as if it will hit here about mid afternoon.

Good Morning Stephen.

Yep, and we have even hosted Storm Watch parties over the years. Usually have one TV set to the weather and one playing Twister with the sound cranked up for the storm parts.

Plus the few that climb the roof to take pictures of the wall clouds as the move into an area.

Pretty normal for us this time of year, although May is the traditional highest chances of storms. Guess the storm season is coming in early this year.

At about 10:30 last night, I told my wife I was going to bed. She said, "no sense in going there now, the storms will keep us up." I told her that they'd just have to wake me up then. Well, the next thing I knew, it was 6:00 this morning and she was asleep on the couch. I asked what she was doing there and she said that the storms kept her up. I asked, "we had storms last night?"

Ya'll could've kept this weather. It's coming through my area in the next few minutes and is supposed to last for a few hours. Usually don't expect this until July/August around here.

Anybody heard from Nate?

Just wondering. I'd be surprised if all his area utilities were up and running.

All Clear for now

What a ride!! No damage at my house, but lots of hail and wind damage in the area. Golf ball to Softball size hail in some locations. Radar is clear to the south and west so I'm headed to bed.
