My daughter lives in a private community called ƒ??The Springsƒ? in Longwood Fl. There are numerous natural springs in her development, the main one is about 2 acres of beautiful swimming area. There is one which is a sulphur spring that was used in 1930ƒ??s or so for medicinal purposes that is no longer maintained and is reverting to a natural state. The pic below shows a transient occupant who was coaxed to vacate the premises.

Another day in paradise for a white egret

Y'all are looking but not seeing. BTW the pipe sticking up behind the egret is not associated with anything survey related.

So instead of 'goat stakes' you all have 'egret stakes' down there?

It's a nice thing the way they have managed to print checks on rubber these days so that when you accidentally drop one it bounces right up to where you can grab it again.

I hope a "goat stake" isn't along the same line as "Stump trained". I ain't going there.
You old fart look at the bottom of the first picture. It took 2 "Alligator Hunters" and a deranged squirrel to flush him/her out of there and back into the "Little Wekiva River" (Google it) where the sojourn commenced.
😎

I tried Google, but couldn't find the 2 "Alligator Hunters" and a deranged squirrel?

The squirrel didn't become deranged until after being tethered to a line and and realized that it was being held hostage as bait. 😉
