I just read a report that "Pi Day" is a phony commercial holiday made up to sell more math.

It was dug by an excavator operator on wood mats in a reed canary grass marsh for the Wetland Reserve Program.?ÿ It was just his free-form result of what he could get to and still be able to put the spoils outside of the marsh area.?ÿ All the other ponds are much more typical looking.
