4 or 5 days ago it hits near mid-70s.
Today the rain rolled back with 30° or so predicted for the night - who knows what's in store.
I was about to head up to the beer store about an hour ago. Heavy sleet coming down (almost like full-blown hail) big time. So much for heading to the beer store for now. Current weather shows 37 with chills down around 32 right now. Rain is coming down pretty good so it might be a while.
Now I just heard on the radio the winter storm advisories for the N. GA mountains have been moved up several hours.

I'd say we (around here) are all about ready for a "real" spring about now. JD up in AK is probably working on his tan. 😀

No kidding Brad. Highly unusual for these parts. Not so much for your parts. Remember, I lived in Franklin for a few years about 40 something years ago. I checked on my kin which live about an equal latitude from you and they have mid-40s and Sunny today.
The thing I remember hating the most about the weather up there was getting tired of walking around with little baby-steps so not to bust one's tuckas (Hebrew sp?)
Then there was that year I took my driving test in '76 with about 6" of snow-pack and ice all over.

I noticed a huge uptick (groan) in the bug situation this past week.

While I was busy whining about the cold, I had forgotten why I like it so much.

Actually, E, Alaskans don't tan, we thaw! That said, we are hovering at freezing (below in the P.M.) just got 5" of powder, but that all melted away. It's easy being a snowbird, the trick is how far South to fly!! I leave Nome when the ocean freezes, that's enough for me. Back up when it breaks up! Have a good one and be careful on your trip to the beer store!

And here it back is around 55 and sunny today and not a cloud in the sky.

JD, when I was up there in '84, many of the tellers at the bank we were working at had awesome tans. I asked about that. They said it was cheaper to fly to Hawaii than it was to come down to the 48. I actually got sunburned one Feb. digging me and the ex out of a nasty snow storm up in the NC mountains.

I think we are sending the warm weather your way; the spiders are out walking on the snow. A sure sign spring is around the corner!:-P
