I never expected to see a fire hydrant in the woods. The former owner must have been a fireman or such. We saw several fire hoses as well.

Is that where he walked his dog?

Sometimes they are used merely as a means to flush lines.?ÿ Rural water districts have used them in strange places.

@holy-cow

It has never been functional in its present location. Apparently some previous owner installed it for its aesthetic value. It is cemented in place but no water lines.

That property had a strange feel. There were assorted spare parts for many different kinds of vehicles and equipment. Lots of rolled up fire hoses. And we also saw a three-legged squirrel sitting on a fallen tree eating a mushroom. There is one huge roundish object that we didn't have time to investigate. And we found two yellow jacket nests. Always fun

That's the same job. And that doesn't include the naked old lady setting in her lawn chair not fifty feet off the the edge of a Fm road we were on.

And then there was the time we surveyed a nudist resort....

@stacy-carroll

We had a job where we monitored a pool; every Friday we shot every expansion joint on the concrete pool deck!

I think that's where TGIF started...circa 1976

Someone reported a hole in the fence at our local nudist camp.

The police were looking into it.

I was introduced to POET'S day in 1969, it was kinda like TGIF.

@a-harris

Learned about POETS from my secretary in 1975.  What was funny was she wouldn't say (excrement) if she had a mouth full of it, but POETS was perfectly fine.

TGI Fridays has been living the weekend since its doors opened in 1965. Today, there are over 900 restaurants in 60 countries offering delicious food and legendary drinks, all served in the spirit of Friday. We are proud to bring people together for brunch, lunch, dinner, late night, and everything in between. So when we say "In Here, It's Always Friday" we mean it.

That being said as copied and pasted from here https://www.opentable.com/r/tgi-fridays-shreveport   none around here are still open.
