There is a Facebook group called Nebraska Through The Lens.
Check it out.
My silly wife dislikes snakes even more than I do but she is also a member of the Facebook group called Kansas Herpetological Society.?ÿ Frogs, toads and every variety of snake that inhabits some spot anywhere across the state.?ÿ Too many pictures of people holding a snake and asking "What is this one called?"
?ÿ
Check the site.?ÿ Two days ago someone added about 50 pictures of the big boys coming into Offutt Air Force Base.?ÿ Apparently a landing strip had been shut down.

Ok...I'd love to see these Nebraska ones!!!
I got to see some big boys on my recent trip to Fairchild AFB!!
Beautiful aircraft they are!! ????ÿ
They also have a B-52 parked there!! HE'S HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!
?ÿ
I staked the runway lights at Ouffit Airforce Base, winter of 76/77; got to see those big boys up close and personal?ÿ
I was wiggling in on the platform at the west end of the runway when a B52 came in for a landing!?ÿ
Lost my hard hat ??? probably a part of why my ears are ringing today ????ÿ
?ÿ
My cousin and her SAC-Navigator husband and their family spent the early 1970's there.?ÿ That was a vast improvement over the time she spent living with the children in New Hampshire while he was somewhere above the clouds over North Viet Nam.
probably a part of why my ears are ringing today
There was a SAC base across the Flint river from our farm, Turner Air Force Base.?ÿ B52s running 24 hours a day.?ÿ The earlier ones used JATO (Jet Assisted Take Off) bottles on the wings to literally throw them off the runways.?ÿ The swamps were full of the jettisoned bottles and racks.?ÿ?ÿ
The first time I saw a C5 was when it was landing at the base.?ÿ I was in a john boat on the river and it came over at about 200 feet high.?ÿ HUGE, it about blotted out the sky.
That site is now a Miller/Coors brewery.
