My wife got a half dozen mallard ducklings in what looked like a Mcdonalds happy meal box.?ÿ They are currently living in a hundred gallon water tank in the laundry room.?ÿ I was picking on a guitar in the next room while my wife sat there and watched how cute they are.?ÿ It makes her happy.?ÿ As I got through Red Wing in the key of C, she told me to come in there with my guitar.?ÿ The ducks were scampering about in youthful enthusiasm and within 5 seconds of me playing that song, they settled down on their feet in a huddle very quietly like they were going to sleep.?ÿ As soon as I would stop, back to their scampering.?ÿ I tried other songs and as long as I was playing in C, it worked but no other key settled them down.?ÿ So if you ever are attacked by a bunch of wild killer ducks, know that you can calm them down with a song in C.?ÿ This is a public service announcement.
That is excellent. Thanks. Now, I've got to figure out if I know the song 'Red Wing'. Or, could it be there is an oral (quacked) history of the avian fable, "Red Wing", that you've simply stumbled into?

@holy-cow True or not, it's the trivia gems and alternate perspectives that keep me coming back. Baby ducks soothed by a song in the key of C I find much more appealing than diving down some quasi legal survey rabbit hole or trying to explain to people with their minds already made up that their GIS linework is not to be trusted.
