I'm reminded of the Mariners signing Ken Griffey Jr. in 2009. He was a shadow of his glory years. He sold some tickets for a terrible team but eventually became too embarrassed with his performance to continue, and left town in the middle of the night without telling anybody.?ÿ?ÿ
Wait! People still watch baseball?
Wait! People still watch baseball?
Yes. Smart people watch Cardinals baseball! ???? ?????ÿ

I SO wish they would have won the World Series in 2016!!!!
But I am also happy for my Cubs friends; they waited a LOT longer than I did for a World Series win.
Cardinals fans are spoiled. We're use to winning a series every 5 years! This is a drought for us. ?????ÿ
As a Cub fan it??s tough for me to like anything the Cardinals do. ?ÿAnother ??rebuilding? year for the Cubs. ?ÿ
As a side note I was at the game where Mark McGuire broke Roger Maris home run record for a single season. ?ÿWe had the tickets months ahead of time and I was watching the countdown. ?ÿI was looking forward to it but once I got to the park I realized I didn??t want to see him do it against the Cubs. ?ÿThey had a big celebration after the game but we didn??t stay for it. ?ÿThere were people outside the stadium buying the ticket stubs for more than the face value of the ticket.

I totally understand. And your team will bounce back! They're rebuilding and farming it up. They'll be back to kick our butts once again one day.
Mark McGuire is a TANK! He went to high school not too far from me. When my high school would play his in football, he would BULLDOZE every one in his path. We knew he was meant for fame, but I never expected him to wind up playing for St. Louis! I figured he'd play for the Dodgers or Angels and stay close to home.?ÿ
