Deer Stands

So, the idea is that the "hunters" climb up the ladder to the roof to wait for the tame deer to arrive who don't notice them or the sound of the A/C or the generator that is probably powering the A/C?

Kent - I can't explain it. I just saw it and thought it kinda fit in with your Ford cab. It doesn't show up in the photo but it does have a power line running to the "bus".

How we do it in Oklahoma.

I saw one recently that was part of a standard grill. The side that holds the utensils and plates, about 4 slats of thin wood screwed onto the framing. That part only was screwed onto the side of a tree. Very budget oriented.

I always find deer stands an interesting thing. Out west we hunt them from the ground on foot, no stands. It seems a bit unsporting to use a stand to me, BUT there must be different rules and customs in other parts of the country!

We also have a very limited season, I have a friend in Texas that has been going out to her stand for weeks this fall / winter.

Looks like somethibg you would see in the infield at the Daytona 500 except there isn't 3000 beer cans lying around. 😉
