you have your first banner ad at the top of the page.
looks like lil' googlefication is going on too.
Yeah, actually the Google ads have been there since day one. I just changed the format of them to better accommodate possible future ads.
🙂
I see that the site also has reached 400 registered users as of today.
Nice to see Carlson jump on board....way to go Carlson!!!
Maybe Not "Way To Go".......
........but rather "Good eye on where the posters are going".
They wouldn't be here if they didn't see a good marketing opportunity opening up.
Mixed feeling about this. I can see the need for sponsors but they should have no say about how the board is presented and operated. More smaller firms should be sought out as sponsors instead of a few giants who will want control or they won't play. If they are not allowed to contribute more than the average of all then Wendell should have it easier to maintain control with the ability to tell any sponsor to jump in the lake, without totally destroying the cash flow, the playing field would be level for all sponsors and loosing one would not be such a huge hit.

Way to go Carlson. Good company with a good product that actually supports surveyors and listens to them. Not surprised they are first with a banner ad.
I have no intention of twisting and turning the site to satisfy advertisers. I determined the ad sizes, locations and other specs and provide them with the opportunity to fill them.
No doubt, Wendell's got to pay for this thing some how. You should be proud that they want to be on this site.

I couldn't agree with you more and I'm not saying that because of the ad. I have been a Carlson fan for many, many years.
I am proud that there is beginning to be interest from others to advertise on this site. I am also comfortable with Wendell running it. I am sure he has sought out advice from those that have experience in doing what he is doing and listened to them. But there is danger in getting involved with some, that reality requires that you do not let the Camel get his nose get under the tent, he will destroy it.
