YES! How about lawn sprinklers that somehow are magically timed to activate when you are surveying that area!
People who plant Yucca plants against the side of a building. Ever tried to measure a wall around Yucca plants?
Planting ground Ivy on pass your property line where the crew has to carefully excavate any monuments since lost in that bed of Ivy.
Will that work for now?
I assume there will be an ongoing series of articles about the best way to spray paint a point i.d. number on various types of sidewalks and fences. :>
exactly why I have not bothered reading their magazine in several years, while a mistake is not a big deal, this shows that these are not surveyors thinking about the surveying profession. Instead, they cram GIS/BIM/LIDAR down our throats daily. Surprise, their research indicates we want more GIS. Now they will go about selling it to us. I have cancelled my membership no less than 6 times in the last few years, but they keep sending me the magazines and reminding me to renew. I am sure some still find it worthwhile and there probably is a good article now and then. Heck, I love technology. I am all for it, but that is just ways to measure or how it is organized, what to measure is so much more important to me now.
