This is too funny. The construction site is right across the street from my office and I am doing the staking on the project.

Here is a preview of how far they drove it in the small hours this past Sunday. Still at large....
Not tidy enough for a "Cash Clan" job...too messy.
But here's to O'Fallon's finest. While I'm not condoning the young operator-in-training's escapade...it had to take a good half hour or longer to walk that thing a half-mile. I'm sure the local constables were too busy with other things in the wee hours of the morning to see a track hoe on a cross country trek in a wide open area.
Oh well, the car-wash gets a remodel and some young hoodlum gets a roll of quarters.
From the article: "While there was some damage to the car wash, including the roof, the track hoe was not damaged. Baxmeyer said he had to call a trailer to get the machine moved back to the work site Sunday." Good thing the equipment wasn't hurt.....;)
The building right across the street from the point of beginning is a 24 hrs urgent care facility. Strange no one heard a thing as the 80k lb excavator walked across the lot.
Wow. That was a bit "over the top".
Too much.

Yea, y'all would have just used a couple of crowbar's and a 2x4. More stealthy. 😉
Around here they reserve the heavy equipment for unauthorized access to ATM machines.

Guessing they forgot their pin #.
Apparently the donut shops in O'Fallon are nowhere near the scene of the crime.
I will admit that is much closer than I was guessing. Still, too many houses in between.
