I am looking for a book regarding the location of fences. I remember it being a small book that discussed where various types of fences should be located.
Still trying to resolve the "the fence is ON the line" question for a layman and I want to cite a source.
Thanks.

Book Re: fences>Mulford

I think that Mulford's "Boundaries and Landmarks, A Practical Manual" might be what you're looking for. I have the 1912 edition as reprinted in 1977...

Book Re: fences>Mulford

I recall seeing a book advertised in Surveying and Mapping decades ago that was about various kinds of barbed wire, what years it was invented, manufactured, sold, and regions where it was used. Don't remember the name or the author, though.

"Barbs, Prongs, Prickers, and Stickers"

"Barbs, Prongs, Prickers, and Stickers" is the name of that book. I bought a copy a few years ago through Paul Cuomo Press. I don't know if they're still selling it or not.
