The rescue mission has been launched to free the Ford Exploder.
A little modern art at the garage.
Rescuing the kitchen was actually quite easy.
Once the Exploder is free, the plan is to drive straight to Key West and drink alcohol out of a cocoanut on the beach until the Ice Age is over, or the money is gone, whichever comes first.

A logical and very sound decision. Party on Garth! Party on Wayne!
Scott,
I'll race you there!!
Cheers!

Actually, I think they are calling for record low temps in Key West. I'd bet they have the heat turned on in the hotel bar though.
The storm was a major let down here. All we got was about 10 inches on the coast and lots of wind. No big deal at all.
Who broke the shovel? That thing is seriously warped.
There's a wonderful thing called a space heater. You know, the kind that looks sorta like a rocket thruster with a flame shooting out its hindquarters. Set it on high and turn all your concrete/asphalt areas into dry surfaces. Ignore the giant ice flow forming in the gutter and melting back solid around your downhill neighbors' car tires. That's their problem, not yours. Tell'em to get their own space heaters.
What I'm seeing in the pictures looks like far Southwest Michigan in late October. Sometimes its three times that deep by Halloween.

It looks like one of those ergonomically designed snow scooper's, supposed to be easier on your back, eh 😉
They got'em on sale down to the Canadian Tire, eh?

Those pics kind of freak me out. Here, we got about 4" the other day. I'm already sick of winter this year. Our saving grace was it was warm enough while it was snowing that the roads stayed safe and clear. But, the cold temps since have stressed my dogs, me, my wife, our home. I mean, this is too early in the winter for this crap around here. Supposed to be in the 60s by Saturday. But this is Monday.
Hope you soon get to Key West, Scott.
Take care,
Ed
Daughter just called and was on first flight back into Boston. Was supposed to go back yesterday, thru Philly, so got to make 2 trips to Nashville to get her on her way. Said she had to crawl thru some waste deep snow plow piles and climb over some cars to get to the sidewalk in front of her apartment.
Bendy handled shovels
They are the best invention since canned beer. I can easily shovel three times as much snow with one of those vs. a regular shovel.
We got about 16 inches. First snow this year that I bothered to plow or shovel.
Stop in Miami and look up our 4 Puerto Ricans who have been stranded there since Sunday morning, when they were diverted from Atlanta. No flights to Raleigh yesterday, and no room available today, so I imagine they are chillin with a mojito or two at the lounge, looking for women.
I can't believe I drove 12 hours yesterday in that mess just to spend a week sitting in a motel room, when common sense dictated nothing workwise is going to happen until after New Years.

lol - are you in MI Cow? SW, that'd be my chapter of MSPS (formerly of west central chapter...)
Storm pressure was equivalant to a cat 2-3 hurricane
The storm's central pressure sunk as low as 963 mb (28.42"), equivalent to a category 2 or 3 hurricane.

St. Joesph/Benton Harbor
Actually, Stevensville on Red Arrow Highway west of I-94 and the railroad. About a mile south of the world famous Snow Flake Motel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Piece o' Cake
Imagine sitting in your car on I-94 on the west side of Detroit for 14 hours just to get to the exit ramp you can see, but, not get to. Wasn't me. It was my boss' 28 year-old daughter trying to get back to her home in the nice area to the northeast of Detroit. Bumper to bumper and nowhere to go. Speaking of going, carefully-handled coffee cups were getting filled inside the cars by those too shy to paint the snow.

Rural area. St Joe's a pretty little town, Benton Harbor, not so much. I grew up in Saugatuck, and since lived in Grand Haven, Muskegon, and now Grand Rapids.

Paint? Well I guess, if you are a girl....
I'd be writing my name in it! 😉
