For sure it's looking bumpy this weekend. I got a Code Red call at work but my office is on the east side of town. Neighbor says the yard was covered in hail an hour or so ago.

I had an appointment to have my windshield changed in the pickup but changed it until next week. 🙂

Heavy rain and some wind went through Norman an hour ago, another cell expected presently.

Good Luck and stay safe. We might be in the storm shelter tomorrow. Haven't used it yet, but would rather wait a few more years. The prediction is probable severe storms, with powerful tornadoes. Seems like the strongest pre-warning I remember in my 2 years in the alley.

Of course the TV news is going berserk. Just like when a half inch of snow "slams" Portland and Storm Team 2012 springs into action.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

You don't know how close it was to our door steps. The highschool football field, Andrews Park, and Porter and Acres got nailed.

Draw a line through those three and it passes right over the house. We lost some shingles and the neighbor lost trees and a flag pole. Too close for comfort.

Notice the two street signs leaning two different directions?

Glad you made it through with only minor issues!

But yeah, I think I'm pretty happy with just living near these volcanoes.

A bay area reporter actually showed live video of rain drops on a car hood while she breathlessly reported about the light rain falling at the time.

People I know who came here from the midwest call us "weather drama queens."

This was on Tuesday morning.

Then we have the Channel 3 reporter (KCRA Sacramento) who gets sent up to Donner Pass when it snows to dramatically show the snow on the ground and cars. His favorite schtick is to dramatically sweep some snow off the vehicle like it never snows in the Sierra in the winter time.

Glad you guys are ok. We had "something" come through here around 3 this morning. No major damage in the neighborhood this morning. Getting 3 kids and a dog in the storm shelter at that time in the morning what quite an experience. I think we still need to refine our emergency plan.

My better half wanted me to ask how you got your dogs in the shelter. Ours is about 10x10 with a ladder entry, and 2 of our dogs are about 90lbs. I was thinking of going to the lumber store and building a ramp, as we have severe storm warnings today.

My oldest son and I just picked him up and walked him in. It was already starting to hail so we didn't wait to let him walk down the steps. He Dietrich weighs about 80 pounds but with high winds and hail barreling down he didn't seem that heavy at the time. We were all soaking wet and a little muddy. We didn't hear our weather radio and were alerted by family. I will be buying multiple weather alert radios to spread out in the house today.

We keep 3 tv's on different channels, the 2 pc's on separate weather radars, a scanner, and a radio on weather alert. I think with adrenalin going they probably wouldn't seem to heavy.

Good looking dog BlakeHuff !
I'll bet somebody's got yard duty 🙂

Paden got out this morning and said that a house 1 block west and 2 blocks south doesn't have a roof and the front of it is demolished. So ... we were very lucky.

Check out this flag pole from the "hood"
