SWMBO ordered me some Filson gear for Christmas. Got me thinking about what I have that's American Made.?ÿ

I'm not super rigid about it but I do like to buy American when I can.?ÿ

White's boots are probably my favorite, I've never owned better footwear.?ÿ

My Jeep Wrangler is made in America even if it's Italian. My Honda was also made in America, of course it's Japanese.?ÿ

It's possible to buy tools but the choices are thin, same with clothing.

For clothing you pay a price.?ÿ

Some products I know of:

Montana Tools, drill and drive sets

SK Tools

Some Stanley Tools

Estwing

Some Craftsman

Channellock

Toro

Polaris (Indian)

Harley

LC King (work clothing)

White's boots

Nicks Boots

WESCO boots

not sure about Mountain Khakis anymore

Filson

some LL Bean

some New Balance

American Giant

Hardly a complete list and brands like Carhartt do a bit of made in America while most items they sell are not.

My post is intended to be supportive only.?ÿ

I used to buy the heck out of Mountain Khakis (have 4 different pairs of their pants & a few misc items). But they're pricey for sure. I do like LL Bean's flannels a lot but I feel the quality of their older flannels are much better than the new ones you can buy today & the new ones aren't made in USA anymore I believe the tag said? Dad has shrunk & slimmed up some with age so I was gifted 2 of his that he cant fit anymore - they're nicely made & the material doesn't lose its composition as easily as the new LL Bean flannels. a few people told me that LL Bean is anti 2nd amendment; not sure if it's true or not but that would be very disappointing to me if so

As for Carharrt, I think I've owned over a dozen of the heavy canvas duck pants (all colors) over the last 2 decades - some have so many grease or hydraulic oil stains that they're only good for service/maintenance work now on equipment. Actually was cutting a larger piece of ductile iron pipe one day with a saw (one foot on the ground & the other bracing me on the pipe) and I didn't realize sparks were flying towards my ankle. long story short that canvas didn't need much help to catch fire haha I lost the hem/cuff at my ankle & a few inches up the inseam. When the pants started falling apart after a couple wash/dry cycles my wife tossed them before I could make some summer "dad" jorts out of them to embarrass her with while doing yard work in the crocs. The heavy canvas overalls are very nice too but I prefer the unlined overalls typically as I can layer here in NC in Jan/Feb when it's coldest. But I love Carhartt's new khakis for everyday work as they're fairly durable but a relaxed fit. Sadly I don't think much of anything by Carhartt is made here stateside anymore?ÿ ?ÿ

Texas jeans are 100% US made in Asheboro, NC. (Waiting for the jokes!) I've never owned a pair, so I can't speak either way.

If I can smell the napalm, hear the sound of chopper blades & the intro of CCR's "Fortunate Son" being played in the background as I put the jacket on then I'm officially sold

Some varieties of Danner Boots are made here in Portland. You can go to the factory store and watch it happen through the showroom window.?ÿ

I don't know, but I think they may be all internet and mail order. In the old old days, they sold in retail outlets Here's a phone number: 336-629-3018, but they answer only Monday through Thursday.

Again back in the old old days, Cone Mills headquartered in Greensboro, NC, made 100% of the denim used in Levi's jeans. Alas, Levi's sold us out and Cone and others were bought by none other than Wilbur Ross, our current Secretary of Commerce. They've since disappeared into the bowels of something known as Elevate Textiles.

We used to love visiting the old Mast Store in Valle Cruces, NC. Very high quality everything from clothing to candy.?ÿ

I have a Polar King coat, made by Key, that is wonderful and I've had it for over 15 years now. SWMBO refers to it as my "hobo coat" since it's faded and has marking paint on it in a couple spots. Come to think of it, there is a worn spot on one of the sleeves, near the cuff but that's the only flaw. Granted, it hangs in my coat closet most of the time these days.
