Or for anyone else that rides.....

Harley Livewire

I wonder what it sounds like....:-S

I suppose you could tape a gas powered one and play it back in a loop when you ride....B-)

You're welcome,

Not much like a Harley

Sorry, there is a commercial you have to endure.

Looks fat and heavy to me - especially compared to the ZeroX ebikes.

Should hit its target market perfectly ....

I'm stoked. Motorcycling hasn't seen any technology driven pinnacles for years. Electric bikes have been a long time coming.

But the answer to the big question begged in my mind, "How do they handle?"

If they handle like your basic Milwaukee Iron I'd say "keep 'em". A motorcycle that has quiet, instant throttle response and handles like a fine European road-racer would be heaven. HD could nail it here, or they could muff it for another 100 years...we'll see. My suggestion would be to partner with Ducati or BMW.

A rider should be able to draw from his psyche AND his physical connection to the bike to perform and maneuver. It can be a thing of beauty. What some people see as a simple ride to the store I see as a ballet, with something like the 1812 Overture playing softly in my head.

I do have plenty of riding buddies with the neanderthalic mind set that scooters must breath fire, shake the ground and instill fear in by-standers. We all have our different perspective. My joy is in the ride, not the look. 😉

Check with your local Harley Davidson shop and search for Harley Davidson on your tv guide.

They are touring the country and allowing riders to test it.

Two weeks ago I saw a show that told all about it and showed many people test riding the electric hog.

All said it had as much power as the gas driven motors and were surprised at how well it went from 1 to 60 and beyond and as far as ride it was equal, without the rumbling effects.

The sound reminded me of slot cars racing.

I feel that not only will many other drivers on the road not see it coming, now they won't see or hear it coming.

😉

What would be funny is a tape of a gas powered harley accelerating thru all the gears and played back on a loop. After about the 15th gear shift, people would start wondering.
