I am going to assume expert witness time spent in regards to a boundary is taxable, but I'm really not sure. Thoughts?
Comptroller office's helpline says not taxable. Has anyone heard different. Not that I don't trust them, but better to verify.
Expert Testimony by its very nature is a professional service and not taxable (yet). You can bet Doctors, Attorneys and other professionals typically used as experts are not charging sales tax (they wouldn’t even know how). However, I would send the bill with the tax on it just so I could get the attorney all lathered up.
Sitting and being seen in the courthouse in your spiffy duds is not taxable.
😉
I hear ya. You would think boundary surveying wouldn't be taxable either, but it is. Testifying about a boundary had me wondering.

It is only taxable because the TSPS did not have a lobbyist that was good enough back then.

That's exactly right. Irks me something fierce.
