BTW, I have worked with some of the parties involved in the past. My guess is that the news story (and therefore the analysis) isn't the complete story.
The people that build houses are customer service people first and foremost, and it should be noted that in the news story, the builder satisfied one of the parties that needed information. Also, anyone can view the plans in person. That plus the fact that the county is on the builder's side indicates to me that personalities are driving the lawsuit, not actual harm or need.
What fascinates me about this, however, is that they deal so differently with those documents of record than they do Records of Survey.
