Hexagon AB (the big parent company) on the Block ($)?

I suspect that this will be a great opportunity for the shareholders (currently up ~16%).

Hexagon is the parent of:
Leica, Novatel, Intergraph, MicroSurvey, Geomax, ERDAS, Brown and Sharpe
plus a pile of other semi-related companies too.

These things always work out well ([SARCASM]snicker[/SARCASM]) for everyone. It is reported that a sale may not happen.

Possible suitors mentioned include GE, Siemens, Autodesk, Bentley, Zeis, ESRI, Dassault. Autodesk and Dassault would be my primary guess as they are suitably sized. I don't think that Trimble is big enough to swallow Hexagon. Unistrong (from China) could also possibly pull it off. At $20Billion US I don't think that there will be many qualified buyers.
