@paden-cash

Well they are notorious for a lot of things and holding on to old obsolete computers and software is one of them.

You do realize that your "smart" TV is watching and recording everything that goes on in your living room whenever it's on. ????

I would think that everyone here still using these older OS are performing regular backups. Once the hard drives blow then you can fondly remember all the things you loved about it.

I'm not even sure it has to be on -- plugged in may be enough.

HP41 first came out in 1979. So that's an even 40 years.  For the record, someone is making a close copy of the 41 that you can buy today.  No module ports, but a USB interface.

I still use my HP41CX, it's a reality check. I don't use it all the time, but it's there if I need it.

How many surveyors pick up and head back to the office because their battery was dead? I've seen it happen; a lot. Give me a Party Chief, any day; that still uses his HP41, Has a steel tape and plumbbobs, and knows how to use them. Over a green button pusher...any day.
