Do you have surveyors in your area offering to provide Elevation Certificates on speculation, in that the client doesn't pay if the surveyor isn't successful with the LOMA application? What do you think of the ethics of such a proposition?
Bad ethics and bad business.
That is not speculation, that is doing work on a contingent fee basis. Not only is it unethical, it is not legal here.
Around here one would be giving away quite a few ECs.

Not only wrong, for all the reasons above, but you are talking about TWO different products.. 1) elevation certificate and 2) LOMA
so there's two income streams...not just one.
I'm going to say it again....THE WORLD IS FULL OF IDIOTS.
