I am in the kind of situation that I seriously doubt the honesty of an official Leica Partner.
The first eye brow that I raised, was when we left our Leica Builder 500 to them for a maintenance check and was send, without our consent, out of the country to Germany for repairs. The bill was 1500 euros for the replacement of the inclination sensor.
The second point that I am particular curios is that after the equipment return to our custody, I checked on Leica's SAP portal myworld.leica-geosystems.com for the service history and it is blank even after half a year.
Third one, is that after apparently this equipment visited two Leica repair centers, return with a mechanical problem in that the endless drive can't hold firmly on the right side but only on the left, while this doesn't affect precision, if I am carefully, in makes my life a nightmare in windy situation because the cross-hairs are shaking.
I tried connecting with Leica headquarters about this experience but I am redirected back to this dealer because he is the only one authorized in my country.
My biggest handicap in this inquiry is that I din'd work with this Total Station before the service so I can't know for sure in what situation the equipment was before being "serviced" by them.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Cheers,

I think you need to renew your attempts to get the attention of Leica corporate headquarters.
While I'm not fully familiar with the situation in Europe sending your unit to Germany for repairs wouldn't necessarily concern me. It is common here in the US for units to be sent off to a service center in another state for repairs that are too complex to be handled at the local level.
