Around the Fourth of July last year I had two projects going that were only two miles apart. On a couple of occasions we worked on both projects on the same day. Today I learned how the two will be linked---permanently.
One job was a boundary survey where a cantankerous fellow was fighting with his neighbor over who owned what. The other job was to expand a small town cemetery. You guessed it. Cantankerous fellow expired today and he will be the first occupant of the new cemetery addition. The caretaker called this evening to suggest he may call on me to stop by to confirm that he's getting this first burial exactly where it is supposed to be. One thing for sure. Snow won't last long anywhere near that grave site.
