What are your favorite cash flow management tools?
My wife.
There is this dude, https://financialrhythm.com/about-philip-campbell
He has spreadsheets, software, good advice.

Looking at dusting off my old dormant mint dot com account for my vCFO to review with us. ?ÿBut, my wife is a little reluctant to share such detailed personal info. ?ÿHowever she also acknowledges how important this is and that we certainly could use the help. ?ÿMy vCFO and I have been having 2- hours- long zoom conference call conversations weekly since December. ?ÿShort term pain. ?ÿLong term gain.
We did a little Dave Ramsey many many years ago and decided that we do not like that ??b? word. ?ÿOur excuse has been very unsteady irregular income patterns.

My cash flow is largely dependent on my ability to kick myself in the butt and force myself to get the drafting completed.?ÿ Did I ever mention how much I dislike drafting??ÿ?ÿ
During the Great Recession my business took a pretty hefty haircut for about 3 years.?ÿ At that time I made a conscious decision not to radically alter our lifestyle, so we borrowed against our house to tide us over.?ÿ I was confident I could pay it off relatively quickly, but it took a little longer than I figured:?ÿ about 4 years after my income came back up.?ÿ Things have been pretty rosy ever since, especially after our son graduated from college -- I wrote some big checks during those 4 years.?ÿ
It was a great relief to make that final payment, and I hope never to have to borrow again.
Are you drafting as an engineer or as a surveyor? I think being Dual brained(PE/PS) might hurt more in that category.
I'm always looking for a new drafting outlet....it's my favorite weak point to work on. ????
Aha.?ÿ You see the problem that is involved.?ÿ The artist side is weak and the perfectionist side is strong.
What are your favorite cash flow management tools?
Brad ?? That??s kind of a vague request. Is this for business, or personal? There is a big difference, especially concerning the IRS and investments.
B ?????ÿ
I spent 2 years under a PE PS it's affected and effected me too. I get it.
And then artist cartography from GIS. it's a real pain.
Affect?ÿis usually a verb meaning "to produce an effect upon," as in "the weather affected his mood."?ÿEffect?ÿis usually a noun meaning "a change that results when something is done or happens," as in "computers have had a huge effect on our lives." There are exceptions, but if you think of?ÿaffect?ÿas a verb and?ÿeffect?ÿas a noun, you??ll be right a majority of the time.
?ÿ
FYI:?ÿ To, too and two are all the same in shorthand.
wrote some big checks
I can empathize...
Me: 4 kids in college at the same time... plus me getting master's and wife getting 2nd master's. All at the same time...
Addressing your original question, I use quickbooks and a separate excel spreadsheet.
And my sense of anxiety that more cash is always needed. 🙂
And my sense of anxiety that more cash is always needed.
I think I need this sense to be installed.
@FL-GA all of the above.
Cash is nice.?ÿ Especially when you give it to others who truly need it.?ÿ Not so much when you must give it to those who think they deserve it.
Would you sleep well at night if you had a billion dollars tied up in investments??ÿ Think about that sometime.
