Hello,
I'm putting a survey company together....does anybody use a software that creates invoices, bills, estimates etc. instead of hard copy?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

Although I have no experience, that's what I was thinking.
Depending on the size and nature of your business/finances you could also use quicken home and business. Not quite as business/accounting oriented as quickbooks, but it has a lot of the same features. Plus it will do your personal finances as well.
Thanks Dan
I would propose that you use a book keeping service in the beginning as you start out because you will need all of your time to do marketing, proposals and the work too. The book keeper can process the payroll, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and the reports you will need to know how your business is doing and whether you need to make changes in what you are doing. The book keeper can also set your accounting up so that taxes are easily taken care of in a timely way and you don’t have to shut everything down for a week to get them straightened out. They already know the software and what most businesses need for accounting. They are already digital and are used to working with small businesses and CPAs. This way you can concentrate on the more important things to make your business work.
I second what Luke says. I started less than two years ago. We are surveyors...not accountants. It is greek to me and you will get in trouble really quick if you aren't careful with Uncle Sam.
I would definitely do what Luke says. I have been doing it myself for the 7 years I have been in business, and it is tough.
I do my billing and invoicing using QuickBooks 2007. It is great for keeping track of timesheets, invoicing, etc.
I would definitely let the CPA handle the monthly bank statements, taxes, etc.
Thanks to all for your input....my wife works for H+R Block which helps.
Thanks Again
For the last 26 years or so we have been using this:

As far as proposals are concerned, there is no “form” per se that I am aware of. Too many variables from job to job.
B-)
QuickBooks on-line is a nice new program. I have been pleasantly surprised.
