For a Wild T16, should horizontal and vertical clamps be tightened for transportation of the theodolite?

@chris-bouffard

I used the T16 in the late 80s. I don't agree with you about tightening the clamps for transportation of the theodolite. I tried to find supporting documentation that addresses this issue. I couldn't find anything in the attached technical manual.

Do you have the old model or the new model?

@field-dog THank you for the technical data. I will review it. I had my older party chiefs always telling me to keep the motions unlocked on our sokkia's when we used locking motions. I was unsure about this for the older Wild Heerbrugg and Leica versions
