Founders pricing ends tonight

The first issue of The Cut Sheet: Founders pricing closes at midnight, five threads worth your time, and three new posts on the blog.

Archived issue, sent August 31, 2026. Founders pricing closed that night; current membership rates are on the membership page.

Welcome to the very first issue of The Cut Sheet — a short, occasional note with what’s worth your time on RPLS.com: a few good threads, what’s new on the blog, and anything you shouldn’t miss. Speaking of which, let’s start with the one that’s actually time-sensitive.

⏳ Founders pricing closes tonight (August 31)

If you’ve been meaning to join, today’s the day it matters. Through midnight tonight, you can lock in the Founders rate: $79 a year, for life. That price never goes up for as long as you’re a member. After tonight, membership is the regular $10/month or $100/year.

To be clear about what you’re getting, because we changed this for the better: reading RPLS.com is free for everyone, all 16 years of it. Membership is your voice and your rooms — posting and replying in every forum, the members-only Members’ Lounge, private messaging, your listings in the Marketplace and Find a Surveyor directory, and Politics & Religion if you want in. It’s how this community stays independent, spam-free, and surveyor-run.

Already a member? You’re set — and thank you. If you’ve got a colleague who’s been on the fence, today’s the day to nudge them.

Fresh jobs, classifieds, and want-to-buy listings are posted by members every week — and you can list your own once you’re in.

That’s the cut sheet for this round. Thanks for being part of RPLS.com.

P.S. — The Founders rate ($79/year, locked for life) is gone after tonight, August 31. If you want it, grab it now.

I was a Land Surveyor for 26 years, then I moved on to building and maintaining websites for my second career. But I've never lost sight of the surveying community. I've always been — and will always be — a Land Surveyor at heart.
