Was it a take home exam?

It was a take home test. Early 1980’s, you had six months to complete it and I thought it was very thorough, especially if you were honest about it. I recall it required the preparation of a boundary determination and plat from provided field notes and the design of an irrigation ditch several miles long based on USGS quad sheets.
I took it for myself a year or two later and I think it hadn’t changed.
I would have to get the books out to do those, can’t read the top question.
