Is that anywhere near Clinton Corners?
Yes, just past Lewinsky's Hills.
"Lewinsky's Hills"? Do I have to get directions from Bill Clinton?? +o(
Man, I could use a guy that fits those requirements about right now.
Randy
Beacon is about 35 miles south of Clinton Corners, on the Hudson River opposite Newburgh.
Clinton is located within the original "Nine Partners Patent", created in 1697.
James Cagney had his farm not far from Clinton Corners.
> and historic Mount Beacon.
I don't recall it being historic, as an inner city kid growing up in the late 60's early 70's I spent my summers in the University Settlement on Eldrige St, the Lower East Side of Manhattan. "Camp Beacon" was the University Settlement' summer camp. I have fond memories of that area growing up and later on surveying.
Probably no help to you but Mt. Beacon triggered some fond memories. Good Luck
TONS of history up ther! The old cabins, old farm ruins, roads, and foundations, it was one of the sites for the fires to warn of the British coming up the Hudson during the revolution, the old incline railway, and much more. Mt. Beacon is part of the Hudson Highlands Park and with many thousands of acres stretching from Bear mountain to the Fishkill Ridge.
Yep, about 35 min South as said before!
It's a lot to ask and I'm not expecting to get it all. That said, we are offering a good salary for this position.
