My family and I are strongly considering a move (back) to Portland, Oregon. I've been thinking maybe a good fit for me in terms of work would be a part-time gig as a surveyor, CAD geek or whatever to fill-in the gaps. I'm thinking maybe I could help at least one surveying/engineering outfit fill in their gaps, too. I could work on contract or I could be an employee. I could be on-call, or you could count on me to work certain hours. I'd be willing to do anything related to surveying, CAD, web or IT.
This type of arrangement would allow me to continue my part-time web work and keep an eye on Beer Leg, too. If you needed me for more time occasionally, that would be cool, too. I'd be happy to accommodate your schedule and work with you as needed. I'm not looking to get rich and I'm not looking to rip you off, either. We can negotiate something that works for both/all of us, I'm not real picky. Even though I'm 43, you could look at me as a sort of early retiree, looking for some work to even out my other income.
What do you think? I'm happy to forward my résumé to anyone who might be interested. Thanks! 🙂
Part-Time CAD Work Does Not Require You To Be In AnyOnePlace
And while you are looking for said job, please make the "Subject" line longer.
See above.

Well there's an engineering company that does transmission work.... MH said you'd be back someday. LOL
NO. I would kill myself first.
I'm not dying for a job or anything, just thought there might be someone out there who would like an occasional helper to pick up some slack. 🙂
Wendell? Are you union? I know Keiwit is usually hiring in the NW region if you dont mind grade checking etc. I dont know the reason for the turnaround but something in a pinch.
