Test driving a Leica GS-18 network rover setting control at the old Bethlehem Steel Sparrow Point facility. ?ÿNot all that scenic, but does have the aroma of years of billing ?ÿ
One more...there is a 10 year old boy in every man that likes big trucks (and spray paint)?ÿ ??ÿ
?ÿ
Superfund'ish.?ÿ
I love the smell of benzine in the morning...
?ÿ
I have heard those are pretty remarkable rovers..

Tbh....I don't have much to compare it to. ?ÿ
In the past when I've been at big companies someone else has been in charge of evaluating and purchasing equipment. But since I'm now the lone licensed surveyor amongst 350 engineers, environment scientists, inspectors, drillers, and associated construction and materials testing folks, it's all on me.
Seems nice, kinda moron proof (but underestimating the power of morons can get you in trouble). The local "green" rep here is top notch, so that makes a lot of the decision making easy. ?ÿProbably buy one and a DNA10 digital level mid summer. ?ÿThen another TS-16 as soon as I can find the staff for another crew. ?ÿ
We bought a LS-10 digital level. That thing rocks! Recently ran a 5 mile loop, closed by o.oo7', which I assume the error is due to no use of turtle turn plates.
