The City of Hillsboroƒ??s Public Works department has a new opportunity for a skilled Engineering Associate. The Land Surveying Engineering Associate will communicate with consulting surveyors, engineers, contractors, vendors, various stakeholders and the community, in order to fully oversee technical aspects of survey projects. Probably a lot of growth in Hillsboro in the coming decades and not many engineering/survey companies with offices out there. The bigger Portland firms mostly cover the area out of Portland area offices, and the drive time can be as much as going to Salem (an hour, or more).?ÿ I've been wondering about that for awhile.

The $70k-$90k range recited in the job posting is fair for this area.

Very good news.  They should be able to find someone qualified then.

Too many times employers advertise for the moon with planned wages for a greenhorn wannabe.  Everybody loses.
