I am in need of an experienced cad tech for a small and always busy boundary surveying firm.

Office located near Johnson City, Texas.

Please do not apply unless you have the experience to take a project from field to finish with minimum supervision. SIT's are encouraged to apply.

Pay will be appropriate and above for the right person.

Microstation experience is appreciated but not necessary.

Please send resumes to the email in my profile.

Thanks,

Randy Hambright, RPLS
County Surveyor, Blanco County, Texas

Good luck Randy. We need about 10 SIT or Sr. Techs right now and are lucky if we can find a qualified one every 3-6 months.

You will probably have more luck finding one for boundary type work than we do trying to find o&g techs.

What is an "o&g tech"?

I have seen throughout my career in the PNW part of the country that a good boundary CAD-Tech is almost impossible to find. Usually see LSIT types, train them, and they are gone as soon as they think they can get licensed if you can't pay them PLS rates.

I admit that I was one back in the day and in my old(er) age don't have the patience to sit and draft/CAD plats, etc. all day.

:good: In other words, a good CAD Tech needs to be paid.

We get about 20-30 resumes a week. I'll have our HR person round up some from around your area and send them your way.
