The Z-Max Allegro Problem of 2012-03-12, 19:00 has been solved it appears.

Seems on a software upgrade the "Magellan radio" option was altered.

Now, if we could only figure out why the Allegro battery indicator after being fully charged, left overnight in "OFF" and when turned on shows 'zippo ' battery, yet still works !

YOS

Derek

PS-

Life was so much simpler with a waxed string and two tin cans on each end.

If there was a communication problem, at least you could give the end a jerk for a response !

Allegro battery status has always been a mystery to me. Why is this such a problem? I would try this: charge the battery until you know it is fully charged, then take the battery out of the Allegro and put it back in. When the battery status screen comes up, plug in 100 % and see how that works. I've read that you should plug in 10%, but that never made sense to me.

Thank you Chris.

We'll give it a try.

Cheers
