I got a call for a 250+ acre survey yesterday and the lady was completely beside herself with all of the problems she was having with this newly inherited property. The railroad was going in there to uncover a culvert or maybe take core samples and they did a lot more than that because her first cousin married a guy who owns a construction company and she knows what kind of equipment would be used and they lied to her and the PVA lied to her and she called the contractor who did the work who lied to her right off and said he didn't go in there and then he lied some more about what he did and the permit said they would work in an area within 1000 GPS points and she didn't know exactly how big that was but it was really BIG and might encompass the whole farm and they might not even have an easement anyway and she only wants to get the road frontage surveyed, not the whole farm and.............. for 45 minutes.
You know how a child tells a made up story and their voice gets really high about every fourth word. That's how this monologue went. I still don't have any idea about what she thinks she needs. First instinct of course is to run like hell because I'm sure to be the next liar but I'd love to find out how big 1000 GPS points is.
