> But your a squirrel. lol Cute picture. I might have to steal a copy.
I'm actually an Angel (unless you ask my mom or husband....) but that is a Tucson Prairie Dog. They would come up to the back patio to get a piece of bread and I snapped a photo of them doing that. Then asked Wendell to add a little tripod and instrument for me. 🙂
Hmm...new avatar. Surveying cartoon Angel. Wendell????????? :-$
chick DO dig surveyors
> That chick's a duck!
gosling, actually
Like Norman Oklahoma, I tell people about the education requirements, apprenticeship and exams required to obtain a license. This is a "Profession" and my clients pay me for what I know, not just what I do.
Time spent sitting around waiting for the phone to ring.

Not to hijack the thread, but when did you and Wendell get married in 1993? My wife and I got married 22 minutes after midnight, 1/1/1993.
I'm going through the license application process now and was explaining to one person what that all entailed. After explaining the 4 years of credit for the bachelors degree and then another additional 4 years of work experience, they said, "Geez with 8 years into it why didn't you pursue something else like being a lawyer or doctor or something? I figured you were given a license once you graduated college"
> A client with a small boundary survey asked me yesterday, "What can you tell me about surveying that nobody really knows"? Without hesitation I said that I spend at least 3-4 times the amount of work, on a project, than the client actually sees. They seemed surprised. Any better answers off the cuff?
It is not until a surveyor screws up that other realize how important we are

We got married on November 10, 1993. Morning after that I found our daughter (then 5 weeks old) not breathing and white. She was rushed to the hospital. We spent our honeymoon in the pediatric unit of the local hospital, praying for her to survive. (She did!) She graduates from high school tomorrow. 😀
We never did have a honeymoon... I should hit Wendell up for one! LOL!!! 😉

Me too. But then I have a twisted sense of humor.

"It is like putting together a rather large jigsaw puzzle with less than 1/2 of the pieces. The surveyor has to provide the rest of the pieces."
Usually works to provide sufficient AWE in their attitude.
