I need some help getting an SNB900 Trimble radio to work with a TOPCON GR5 SS base station. I can open a serial port in my gr5 base and connect the SNB900 using Topcon Receiver Utility most equipment is utilizing topcon but I have a few Trimble controlled machines. Our Topcon radios are set to CMR+ and the Trimble machines are also set to CMR+ I open serial port change channel to same as the machines, same BR (38400), input ?ÿcommand, output CMR+ ,turn on RTK/RTS Which I believe used to work until my data collectors firmware where updated. ?ÿNow the Trimble radio will not communicate radio freq. w equipment. Any help would be appreciated.?ÿ

CMR/CMR+ is a Trimble proprietary language....I would try to run them all on RTCM 3.1 or similar since it is "standard" and not brand specific.

Little info...

I believe CMR and CMR+ are no longer proprietary, only CMRx. But CMR+ can act up when mixing manufacturers and using multiple constellations.

As mentioned, RTCM 3.1 is preferable, if you have to mix receivers. Or really, anything above 2.3 since I believe that is when GLONASS support was added...

If your firmware has been upgraded in the last few years to 4.7,?ÿ as you should have for the GPS Rollover, the Gr-5 will be able to use CMR+?ÿ

This was on the firmware release notes dated Nov 2015
